The needlecraft commonly known as CROCHET is older than most imagine. It’s origins are lost to history. It is through devotion and dedication to it’s beauty that crochet survives and thrives today.

I am pleased to present my Antique/Historical Crochet re-creations.(1899-dawn of time) Most are of the 1800’s Victorian & Edwardian eras. All are from original patterns, not modern re-writes. Created with materials, as close to originally indicated as possible. Occasionally , I will deviate from historically “accurate” if a suitable material/fibre cannot be sourced or is BER/Beyond Economic Reasonability, OR, I feel the need to create with a completely modern fibre.

The Galleries are titled based on the Origins of the patterns/items presented within. There may be “duplications” of items, as Magazines of the times often “shared”, “borrowed”, “duplicated” content from each other.

I endeavor to source back to earliest publication/presentation of a given pattern/item.
